*DETAILS*
At the National Museum of American History: Join us for themed activities and a scavenger hunt for solstice-related artifacts and a «secret» room containing rarely-seen items from the collections. Local fan-favorite DJ Eau Claire will be playing live on the second floor and the museum's Warner Bros. Theater will remain open late to show movie screenings. Food will be available for purchase on site. For adult audiences, there will also be several hidden speakeasies around the museum, as well as bars serving beer and wine. Starting at 7:30, visitors are encouraged to hop on the pedi-cab procession to continue the party at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery.

Continuing the festivities, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery will host an array of activities across art and performance. Eat from the city's best food trucks, play lawn games and make art with local artists from Shop Made in DC at a Community Block Party while listening to the beats of Batala Washington and the jazz sounds of Tasty Morsels. Cool off at a boutique-designed Beer Garden in the Kogod Courtyard, get a caricature and explore the museums' first floor exhibitions. Close out the night dancing to the sounds a live concert by Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics and Washington’s own Oddisee, with DJ music from
Ayes Cold.
