Join us in exploring the wonderful world of bones and muscles and understand functional anatomy.
A workshop for both students and teachers
Students: improve your practice!
Teachers: learn how to better help your students! (CEUs available)
With Kayla Robison, PT, DPT, CSCS, EP-C, Fellow Graduate (NAIOMT), Director of Sports Rehabilitation, PT to Team USA's Olympic and Para-Olympic athletes.
There are countless miracles happening in our physical bodies every moment, but do you know how you work?
In this workshop you will establish the bony landmarks of the lower body and understand their connection to each other in a kinetic chain.
Through tactile and visual impressions you will learn kinesthetic awareness and gain understanding of the architectural structure of your individual body.
Knowledge of your body leads to awareness in the art of alignment, and efficient use of your body, which is key to realizing the full benefits of your yoga practice.
To move better, more effectively, and safely, you need to know ‘how’ you move, anatomically.
By understanding your body you are better able to ‘communicate’ with your body, and with awareness of your ‘structure’ you are better able to ‘go with the flow’
rather than against it.
Cost: $26 before 4/11, $35 thereafter
