The Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade goes on! Weather Underground says it's going to be in the mid 40's and little chance of rain--as I write. It's a free event for visitors, and it's cheap to enter for participants. Sadly, the Mardi Gras Ball has been cancelled due to larger events in DC. The Clarendon Alliance Board will consider how to move forward with our new competition.
The Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade is a free, family-friendly community parade that runs on Wilson Boulevard from N. Adams to N. Irving. The Parade starts at 7pm. We'll also be holding our third annual Mardi Gras Ball at the Clarendon Ballroom from 7-11pm. We'll have great music, Louisiana-themed food, masks and beads and all your favorite beverages. Proceeds help the CA offset parade costs and our nonprofit partner, Bridges to Independence.
