Want to get some steps in with other friendly and interesting people while visiting one of the world's best art museums? Come join us for a Wednesday evening «art walk» through the Smithsonian American Art Museum / National Portrait Gallery. What's an art walk? We will walk through the museum at a moderate pace and pass some great art along the way. This isn't a formal tour per se, but we will stop briefly at a handful of our favorites pieces (as chosen by your host, museum expert Robert Kelleman). It's too cold to walk outside so we might as well just walk indoors tonight since the museum has free admission and is open until 7:00 pm.
Also, January 17 is «National Museum Selfie Day» (https://twitter.com/museumselfieday?lang=en)
and we can take some pictures with the Smithsonian's magnificent art collection. We'll even give out a prize for the best selfie! At 7:00 pm after our walk ends there will be an opportunity for an optional dinner at a TBD location close by (Fuddruckers or other suggestions?).
