Today Owen teaches piano and produces local artists at his Bowie recording studio while continuing to organize concerts for charity benefit, perform live with top musicians, and release his original music, blending D.C.-influenced R&B and jazz with Electronic Dance Music.
Owen Adams began studying piano at the age of four and won 33 first-place classical piano competitions in his senior year of high school. In 2008 he was also awarded the Washington Post Music & Arts scholarship award and received a full merit scholarship to study Music Composition at the University of Maryland music School. That same year he was awarded first place for piano performance and music theory in the Maryland Music Teachers Association State of Maryland Piano Competition. At 24, he is considered by his diverse audience to be one the top pianists, producers and indie artists of the DMV area.
Currently, Owen composes and produces his own songs and cover versions of popular music. His team of experienced musicians and audio engineers work together to mix and master original ?recordings as well as other local and upcoming artists.
