Ghetto Ghetto Records
Founded in 2017, Ghetto Ghetto is a record label by D.C. based producer Julius Jetson. Specializing in house music influenced by hip-hop, Ghetto Ghetto is a label for the streets. It’s the new home for g-house and will strive to release invigorating tracks that will keep the movement strong.
----ARTISTS — Julius Jetson (Label Boss)
A true DC native, Julius Jetson has been deeply involved in the district’s music scene for half a decade, rapidly transitioning from an event planner to DJ and more recently, a producer. His music is at the cutting edge of gangsta house, a new genre that combines the best of classic Chicago house music with the power of the gangsta rap/hip-hop to create music that is simultaneously deeply traditional and cutting edge. He was named as one of Complex’s magazine’s “Top 10 Producers To Watch This Year” and has received support from the entire span of dance music’s premier talent including:The Chainsmokers to Justin Martin, Felix Cartel, Malaa, Danny Howard, SNBRN, DR Fresch, Hotel Garuda, Bijou, Maximono, among others. Listen to Julius Jetson’s tracks to experience pure, soulful house music infused with the deep, raw soul of hip-hop.
Kids Want Techno (Ghetto Ghetto)
Kids Want Techno are two music producers hailing from Washington, DC. As a duo, Jordan McLeod and Adam Solhjou have spent countless hours in the studio churning out original productions and remixes; many of which have received unbelievable praise amongst critics and bloggers of the electronic music landscape. Their music has been played millions of times across the globe and the duo has opened for major acts such as The Chainsmokers, Matoma, Lost Kings, while also playing at EDC New York. Kids Want Techno have picked up steam in the last 6 months that rarely many other artists achieve, and it seems the only thing between Jordan and Adam's success in this community is one thing: more music.
LICK (Ghetto Ghetto)
An anonymous faceless producer rising from the deepest darkest parts of the underground music scene, LICK can draw no comparisons, for his music is truly unique. A rare blend of hip-hop, dark techno, industrial and deep house brings you a sound, unlike anything you’ve heard before. His first major release PUSH on Deadbeats second compilation album is just sample of the music he will be releasing with heavy baselines and staggering percussion that will continue to shape his unique dark underground sound.
