October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Join MWR and the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in raising awareness for Breast Cancer and showing support for those affected. Breast cancer affects over 200K patients annually. Early detection is an important element of improving survival. We welcome everyone to wear pink!
The 5k Run/Walk will start at 8 a.m. and conclude with a Fort Belvoir Community Hospital presentation.
There are awards for best dressed, fastest stroller and best group turnout.
Stollers are welcome.
Start and end location: Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.
Eligibility: Military, DoD Civilians, Retirees, Family Members, their Guests, and Installation Visitors.
In-person at Graves Fitness Center or the Body Shop
Same day registration starting at 6:45 a.m.
Please consider donating your time as a road guard for the Breast Cancer Awareness 5k. Volunteers will need to arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. for safety training. For more information, please call (703) 806-4430.
If you register and do not have a Military ID or CAC card and need a visitor’s pass, you may go to Tulley gate a few days before the run to get a pass. This will allow for faster entrance on the day of the event and prevent gate access from backing up. Tulley Gate Visitor Center is open between 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Mon-Fri.
