September Open Mic #Survivor

19:00 - 21:30

 Facebook event page
Solly's U St Tavern
Washington, District of Columbia
We are back from hiatus and it is time for some art, awareness, and activism to grace the mic. Invite one, invite all!

What does #survivor mean to you? In the past, were you able to overcome an experience that challenged you as a person? Or currently, do you fight to make it through the day hoping to take steps forward instead of backwards? Maybe you see it in your future to champion a vision for others who have walked in shoes similar to yours.

For the upcoming Open Mic, we are partnering with SurvJustice to explore the theme of #Survivor, and learn more about the great work they have done in DC and beyond before, during, and after title IX made headlines.

Join us at this September Open Mic to support all the first-time and long-time performers in expressing #Survivor and other topics that the stage may entail.

-Requested Donation: $5 cash
-Come ready to eat, drink, and support those behind the bar and on the microphone.
-Bring a first timer with you, and meet the organizers. We love you (we really do) :-)

Performers: Sign-Up Sheet -->(Initital Sign-Up is full. No wait list. At event sign-up will be there for a few spots)
