About the Instructor:
Lakshmi Kanter is a Certified Yoga Therapist, and E-RYT200, RYT-500 yoga teacher, who has been teaching since 2009 and served people with cancer and chronic illness as well as survivors of human trafficking and trauma. Yoga’s wisdom has helped Lakshmi continually transform and surf through life — after the death of her mother in 1999, a divorce in 2015, caring for an aging father – as well as all the other transitions and losses that make our existence so precious. Lakshmi received Awakened Heart Meditation teacher training through Sally Kempton and the Dharana Institute and completed Sacred Journey: Being Present with Aging, Illness and Dying, a nine-month contemplative course offered by Insight Meditation Community of Washington. fullheartyoga.com
