Cynthia Marie

Jazz/Folk Pianist & Songwriter, CYNTHIA MARIE
IG/Twitter: @cynmariemusic

Cynthia Marie’s distinctive songs dance with ease, and emotion. A seasoned pianist with a love for improv, Marie is passionate to create. From jazz & blues to folk, pop, and original works, her live show is an eclectic mix of piano-based songs and explorations. Her newest 2016 studio album “Harbor" has been featured on WERA.FM, Voices from the DMV, FEMchord, DC Music Rocks, Hometown Sounds, and WAMU Bandwidth.

Her music has been featured live in Her Roots, 9 Songwriters’ Series, Arts Soiree, Ben Tufts & Friends, Bloombars, Takoma Park Porch Festival, Arlington Independent Radio, Columbia Lakefront Festival, and performed at favorite DC, Maryland & NoVA venues such as: IOTA Club, Jammin’ Java, the Athenauem, Villain and Saint, Ebenezers, and the Black Cat DC.

Hari Vasan

Hari Vasan is a singer-songwriter from DC who mixes powerful vocals with intricate and complex guitar riffs, creating an ensemble of songs that range from hard rock to folk ballads. In 2007, Hari uploaded two YouTube cover videos that received 18,000 and 11,000 views, respectively. He has been featured at Smithsonian Music on the Mall, Takoma Park Folk Festival, Art All Night in Capitol Hill, the Intersections Festival, and the Launch Music Conference. He was also part of «Be(com)ing Desi in America,» a show that was co-arranged by the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, where he opened for Aparna Nancherla and Ashok Kondabalu of Das Racist. Hari has performed at Iota, Jammin Java, Velvet Lounge, and Villain and Saint, and he has been a featured artist at a number of open mics including Bloombars, Ireland's Four Courts, and Subcontinental Drift. He released his debut EP last April and performed his release show to a full house at Bossa last June. In order to raise funds for his album, he started a PledgeMusic fundraiser that reached 170% of the goal within weeks. In 2017, he was a finalist in the Cherry Blossom Sing to Spring Competition, and his song “Silence Comes Easy” was awarded Silver in the Rock/Alternative Category of the Mid Atlantic Song Contest.

Skyline Hotel

Like the landmark from which the band takes its name, Washington, DC's Skyline Hotel has always tried to embody one thing: escapism. What originated as a personal therapeutic project for singer Jon Lee to deal with his adversity soon became a set of songs his brother and lead guitarist/producer Jeff Lee could not ignore. From bedroom demos to local clubs, the brothers began to cultivate a modern blend of pop and rock that was as fun as it was vital. Expanding to include organist/bassist Zack Be and veteran drummer Alan Slimak, the band has become a full blown pop/rock powerhouse. With two EPs under its belt — including 2016's Sparks of Light — and a constant gigging schedule that has found the band performing at The 9:30 Club and sharing the stage with nationally and internationally touring acts such as Echo & the Bunnymen, Zella Day, Kitten, and Hippo Campus, this songwriting quartet is only just hitting its stride. Still, Skyline Hotel is, at its core, just four musicians charting an escape from the realities of everyday life, seeking what only music can deliver.

David Thong

David is seasoned musician and has performing since he was 9 years old. His versatility in the local music scene has made him a house hold name in the DC area with influential styles of pop, rock, reggae, hip-hop, and indie. In 2009 David's group, «The Right Handed Lefties» released «Kid On The Field» co-written by Laura Farrell.

David has shared the stage with Weezer, Ash, Ballyhoo! and Ozma.

David has performed at many notable venues on the east coast including Jammin' Java, Rock & Roll Hotel, The Black Cat, The National, CBGB, and the Fillmore.
David is currently working on his first release «Doux Amer» with Haddon Records.
