UPDATE: FRIDAY AUGUST 25:
Media is reporting that there are serious efforts within the Trump Administration to end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
This is a moment to join us at the White House to demand that President Trump defend DACA.
If you can't come to D.C., please share this event.
ORIGINAL EVENT POST:
From August 15th through September 5th, 24 hours per day, DREAM Action leaders will hold a picket in front of White House. Daily at 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., faith leaders from different denominations will lead a prayer/blessing at Murrow Park (our base camp two blocks away). Other activities, such as teach-ins, will be posted on our website: nakasec.org/act and Facebook.
We see this as a critical organizing moment. DACA and TPS were won after years of struggle by our communities and allies. We will be united with our young people, faith communities, and all of you to challenge policy makers to show us which side they are on and to care about our futures.
