A contemporary classic German film, Good Bye Lenin! depicts the effects of German reunification in 1990. Set against the historic collapse of the Berlin Wall, the film follows one young man's extreme efforts to protect his mother from realizing Germany's reunification. Focusing on the lives of people in East and West Germany, the film offers comedy, satire, and a snapshot of society around the fall of the Berlin Wall—the same time German artist Markus Lüpertz was producing artwork.
$12; $10 for students and seniors. Free for members. Includes admission to the special exhibition. Reservations recommended
