This month, we're celebrating the body and all of its parts. References can be in the title, artist name, or (prominently and/or repeatedly) in the lyrics.
Submit your ideas in the thread below, on the website (apcdc.weebly.com), or via email. If we've sung the song in the past year, we probably won't do it this month. Take a look through the list and «like» the ones that you want to sing!
We'll be up on the second floor at DC9 Nightclub. Singing starts around 7:30pm, but come early to enjoy the roof and food/happy hour. The big, sliding door halfway to the roof should be open around 7:00pm. Bring friends, or come alone. We'll display music videos with lyrics. No singing abilities necessary!
If notifications are giving you a headache, read this: facebook.com/help/356258654474400.
— For those of you wondering what this is all about:
A People's Choir DC is a casual sing-along. It isn't a performance; it's a group effort. We play the actual songs (not the vocal-less karaoke version), and you can stand around or sit or dance...and sing.
If you don't know a song, no worries — make up the tune as you go or just sit it out. There is no sheet music at A People's Choir, only song lyrics, which we'll provide (along with the music videos).
We don't care about your singing ability, just your enthusiasm — and we're pretty flexible in that area as well. Just show up and enjoy yourself! It's free.
