August 1814: Washington is in flames and the president has fled. Enemy troops march down Pennsylvania Avenue and celebrate their great victory. How could this have happened? Join our special walking tour at the corner of Constitution Avenue NE and 2nd Street NE at Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument; the site of the only armed resistance in the city during the War of 1812.

This is a 3.5 mile ranger-led walk, so water and comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
