Join us at Imagine as Mira Panek teaches us the Gratitude Kata, a simple series of movements designed to help you embody gratitude more fully in your life. In the somatic wisdom tradition, it is said that learning has not occurred until it is ‘in the body.’ That is, when a practice or behavior becomes part of your natural self-expression, your habitual way of being and acting, without you having to think about it, only then have you truly learned.
The Gratitude Kata is a way to practice learning gratitude with and through the body. When we get our emotions, our thoughts and our bodies all working together, we are able to produce profound shifts and transformations in our lives.
The Gratitude Kata can be done anytime; anywhere, and over time will support you in learning to dwell in a mood of gratitude. Rather than feeling grateful from time to time, you can become someone who IS authentically grateful, and brings the emotion of gratitude to others naturally.
There is no class fee. Instead, the instructor is requesting participants make a contribution to her fundraising campaign for Girls on The Run of the Greater Chesapeake, which can be done at the studio or here: raceplanner.com/donate/IronMira-Santa-Rosa-2017
