Come join the Quaker Affairs Office for a trip down to DC to the Spring Lobby Weekend with Friends Committee on National Legislation (the Quaker Lobby Organization). Have the opportunity to connect with like-minded youth, learn how to lobby, and actually meet with your congressional representatives. There will be over 400 youth from colleges all across the country, many workshops, conversations, and opportunities to engage in our political system!
The theme this year is economic justice! So if you care about health care medicade, SNAP, and other programs that keep people out of poverty this is your opportunity to have your voice heard!
So, now for the details:
When? Leave campus March 18th and return the night of March 20th. (Yes, this means missing Monday classes, but this can't be helped because you can only lobby congress when they are open, aka week days. In the past professors have been very understanding of this!)
Cost? Free through the CPGC and the Quaker Affairs Office
How? Apply though this link before February 12th: goo.gl/forms/nrv6isTPau4nrrB73
